The Henry J. and Catherine Dowd House is an excellent example of Spanish Colonial Revival style with Moresque influences.Notable features include: (1) The Moresque cross-stacked fired clay tile pattern beneath the front window; (2) The original garage doors with crossed board pattern; (3) The porch balustrade of stacked half- barrel tiles that form the barrier to the left of the front door; (4) The ornamental rafter tails under the roof edge and beneath the garage shed roof. Changes to the rear windows are not visible from the public view; (5) The full Mission half barrel roof. |
